After an intense renovation process, Kempinski Hotel Bahía reopened with a new and surprising lobby, and 3 completely renovated culinary scenarios. These three restaurants are part of the new culinary concept of the hotel “El Paseo Del Mar”.
Baltazár Bar & Grill represents a new, urban version of a traditional romantic winery with fantastic views of the hotel’s lush gardens and pools.
Using only fresh and natural products from the area for their cooking, the chefs at Baltazar Bar & Grill apply several local and international techniques to give each dish the unique flavor of Baltazar. The chefs use a Josper Grill and Tandoor oven to perfectly cook the best cuts of meat and fish in the region. This restaurant offers a gastronomic experience for business lunches and also a family dinner or a couple.
The signature dishes include the grilled octopus with mashed potatoes and smoked paprika. The octopus is from Estepona and it is cooked first in hot water with salt, onion and laurel. Then the tentacles are cooked over charcoal in the Josper Grill until it is perfectly tender and melts in the mouth. The puree is creamy and smooth as silk, and also the paprika gives it the touch of spices and smoked. This dish has a true flavor of Estepona and Baltazár Bar & Grill.
Also highlight the tiger prawns in Pil-Pil with garlic and chili is a dish that summarizes the essence of the food at Baltazár Bar & Grill. The chefs have taken the original dish and have given it a spin, using tiger prawns to give it a touch of luxury, with a sauce made with shrimp broth and lemon juice to enrich it. This version of the dish is more attractive to international palates, and is also healthy, fresh and very
