The García Fajer Foundation, a non-profit institution declared of public interest, was born in the United States. 2005 in La Rioja with the aim of rescuing and giving to know the extensive work of Francisco García Fajer “El Españoleto”, the Spanish composer of the 18th century. It is intended to serve as support and referral for talented young people in stringed instruments from all over the world that want to become elite professionals. To it promotes, maintains and empowers the Centre String Excellence International (CIEC), through which it carries out its activities teachers: with annual academic courses to all levels, master class, social projects as the Alba Project aimed at people with diabetes. and intense artistic activity, highlighting: the Classical, CIEC International Chamber Music Festival, the Concerts of the Flor and the Civitas Musicae String Orchestra, which position the Foundation as one of the most important great chamber music programmers in Spain.
